16A EXTENSION LEAD HOOK UP
Need to stretch your power further? This black 16A hook-up extension lead reaches the gap between your pitch’s mains post and your van, caravan or motorhome, so you can plug in without parking right next to the bollard.
It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense lead for people who spend a lot of time outdoors. It has a blue 16A CEE plug at one end and a matching blue CEE socket at the other, joined by heavy duty 3 core copper cable in a tough black outer sheath that copes with being dragged, coiled and stored again and again.
Built where it matters
- Plug end: a three pin blue CEE plug with brass-coloured pins and a grey locking body, designed to fit standard site hook-up posts
- Socket end: a blue CEE socket with a hinged protective lid, so the contacts are covered when you’re not connected
- Cable grip: a grey screw-on collar at the connector holds the cable firmly in place, helping take the strain when the lead gets pulled or twisted
- Cable: heavy duty black outdoor cable that coils neatly and packs away without fuss
What makes it a good buy
- 16A, 240V mains rating for running your onboard electrics, heating, kettle and more
- 3 core copper conductors for dependable power delivery
- Splash resistant and made for outdoor pitches
- Lengths from 5m to 30m, so you only pay for the reach you need
- Easy to coil for compact storage in a locker or boot
Who uses it
Campers and caravanners, campervan and motorhome owners, and anyone who needs reliable outdoor power on a garage, driveway, allotment or workshop job.
Picking your length
Measure from the hook-up post to your vehicle’s inlet, then add a metre or two for slack. If you’re unsure, go slightly longer, as pitch layouts vary from site to site.
Looking after your lead
Uncoil it fully before use, keep the connections out of puddles, and always check the cable and connectors for damage before you set off. Store it dry and coiled loosely.
